The City of Asheboro is working with the Piedmont Triad Regional Council (PTRC) to update the city's 2020 Land Development Plan, first adopted in 2000. An updated Plan will help guide the city’s future growth and land development. The plan will:
- provide guidance on specific land use matters (e.g. rezonings, infrastructure investment, growth areas, transportation improvements);
- use facts, data and community values to develop a future vision and identify community priorities;
- outline strategies to efficiently meet public needs; and
- ensure compliance with state law requiring local governments to have a land use plan as part of zoning administration.
Follow Plan progress by reviewing the documents below or by visiting the PTRC Project Page.
