Roll-Off Container Service

Do you need to dispose of bulky, non-construction household waste? 

The City of Asheboro offers roll-off container rentals for general cleanouts, ideal for disposing of larger waste items like small furniture, mattresses, and large amounts of non-hazardous waste. This service is only offered to City of Asheboro residents and property owners enrolled in City solid waste curbside services. This service is not available for commercial use.

Please note: These containers are NOT for construction or demolition debris, brush, or yard waste. Those materials must be taken to designated facilities better equipped to handle them:

What can I NOT dispose of in a City of Asheboro roll-off container?

The following is a list of commonly disposed unacceptable items; however, this list is not exhaustive. For questions about acceptable items, please contact Environmental Services at 336-626-1234 ext. 2211.

• Brush/Yard Waste
• Tires
• White Goods
• Paint - Unless the contents are dry
• Oils of any kind
• Liquids of any kind
• Batteries
• Florescent light bulbs
• Electronics
• Hazardous waste
• Chemicals/Pesticides
• Compressed tanks i.e. propane, helium etc..
• Drain all oil and gasoline from lawn mowers
• Drain fuel oil from old heaters

*All charges will be assessed to your City of Asheboro utility account before delivery is scheduled.

*There is a two ton weight limit for contents. Weight beyond two tons will incur an additional charge of $38.00/ton. 

Rental Terms and Conditions

1. This rental is only for a 7-day period only. If additional days are needed, another online application must be submitted and will be charged separately.
2. Application and required fee can only be made on the City’s website at www.asheboronc.gov.
3. The city will pick up the container and dump it one time and return it during the rental period if requested at no extra charge. The container will still be picked up on the 7th day. Request for one-time pickup must be made by calling 336-626-1234 Monday-Friday 8:00AM to 5:00PM
4. Owner/resident must hold the City of Asheboro harmless for any damage resulting from city vehicles moving about the property.
5. The area must be accessible and level.
6. Container must not be blocked by any vehicles or any items that interfere with the removal of the container.
7. Container must not be overfilled past the top level of container.
8. The City of Asheboro reserves the right to remove the container for any violation of the terms and conditions.
9. Any items deemed hazardous or not acceptable must be removed from the container before the container is removed from the property.
